Dawlish Warren Beach
Dawlish Warren is a ‘Blue Flag’ beach and voted one of the top five in the United Kingdom within 2004. Golden sands backed by sand dunes at this award winning beach entices families to enjoy either traditional seaside holiday or an idyllic day out on one of Devon’s finest beaches.
Dawlish Warren beach is home to a National nature reserve which is an internationally important site for the protection of birds, insects and plants.
There are car parks, toilets and shower facilities, shops, amusements, go carts, dodgems and the Boathouse pub which has a small ball pit to amuse the children.
When the tide is out, you can walk across from the Dawlish Warren beachfront past Red Rock to Dawlish and may even on special occasions see a Steam train go past on the coastal railway line. During the Gala week in August there is a flypast by the Red arrows.
